Computer Society of India was established in the year 1965 is today the largest IT professionals society in India. Keeping in mind the interest of IT professionals & computer users, CSI works towards, making the profession an area of choice among all sections of the society. The basic purpose of CSI is to promote IT as a profession. To fulfil this objective, CSI regularly organizes conferences, conventions, lectures and gives various awards. KJSCE's CSI students' chapter was established in 2003. The CSI – KSJCE council is formed from the student members every year. They work under the guidance of their faculty advisors. There are a number of technical & non-technical activities conducted, which include Workshops, Project competitions, Technical Talks on the latest trends in industry, etc. It is one of the biggest student bodies (in terms of number of members) at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai.
We here at CSI KJSCE, look forward to further the aims of this nationwide organization by promoting and advancing the knowledge of Computer Science amongst the students of our college. This has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of the team of students and the faculty-in-charge, by conducting workshops and holding seminars. Through the means of these activities we aim to further the interests of all the developers to actively engage and participate in these activities concerning one of the most emerging science of today’s world - Computer Science.
